Spectators and Volunteers No event of this size can be run by the staff alone. If you would like to volunteer for anything please do . Volunteers will receive event T-shirt, and the ability of seeing everything up close and personal.

Photo ops - For the swim - North side of the lake at the first buoy. Blue sky backdrop
South side at the beach run and at Transition Number 1 Tree and blue sky backdrop, possible sun inhibitor for the SPORT event

For the Bike - some where on the downhill, few switchbacks and possible dismounts.
Moderate climbing with great overlook of the valley back drop is on the short course just after the fork for the XTERRA bike course and the SPORT short course. Also a great area for both runs.

Quick notes

T1 and T2 are different locations. They are about ½ mile away from each other however the road is about 6 or 7 miles around the ski areas. Everyone will have access to just below the lake via dirt road.
Sport transition area closes at race time 7:00 am. We will allow the full XTERRA people access again at 7:30. Last year the water temp was 75, this is to warm for XTERRA and wet suits this year may not be allowed.
Swim caps WILL be provided if we have less than 76 competitors.
